The H-town hottie; Megan Thee Stallion has motivated the entire world to have a ‘Hot Girl Summer’ and Hot Boys can participate too.

“Hot Girl Summer” has become a popular mantra across social mediums, in everyday conversation and has incited some friendly competition.

“The Hot Girlz is up,” said Wiz Khalifa, in a trending Instagram video, referring to the ground-shaking lead the Hot Girls have taken over the Hot Boys.

This simple catchphrase has been misinterpreted several times since its introduction, insisting its meaning stems from sexually overt actions, disrespecting the opposite sex and shaming of all sorts. In fact, that is the complete opposite from the source herself.

In a recent interview with The Root, Megan defines the controversial meme “Hot Girl Summer”.

“It’s basically about women and men — just being unapologetically them, just having a good-a** time, hyping up your friends, doing you, not giving a damn about what nobody got to say about it. You definitely have to be a person that can be the life of the party, and, you know, just a bad b****,” she said.

In several other interviews and explanatory tweets, Meg informs her viewers that you also have to be positive and confident as she has hosted beach cleanups and the first annual Cognac Queen Pageant to support those messages.

Hot Girl Meg has introduced a viral meme that brings out the inner feminist in everyone as the Hot Girl Summer phrase encourages women and men to live their best lives in any capacity, have fun, take care of themselves and enjoy life by doing things that make them happy.

A Hot Girl Summer could include: working hard, working out, saving, traveling the world, increasing your credit score, self-love, escaping toxicity, landing your dream job and the list goes on.

This movement is all about doing what you want to do on your own terms regardless of what anyone else is doing or has to say about it.

Now clearly defined, what does having a Hot Girl Summer mean to you?
