Warriors Add Demarcus Cousins to the Dynasty

Updated: Jul 30, 2018

If you thought LeBron James going to the Lakers was a surprise, think again. This evening, New Orleans Pelicans Center Demarcus Cousins signed a one-year, 5.3 million dollar deal with the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors already have four all-stars on their team and they now will be adding a fifth. This hasn’t happened since the 1975-76 Boston Celtics according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Last year Cousins averaged 25.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and shot 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. He only played in 48 games last season due to tearing his left Achilles. He is a four-time All-Star, and two times All-NBA Second Team pick.
