Upcoming Movies Fall/Winter 2018

It’s fall, so it’s about to get cold outside. This means there will be limited outdoor activities to keep everybody entertained. Looking on the bright side, going to the movies is always an option. Here are some movies coming out in theatres this fall/winter.



1. Venom

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Venom is a Spider-Man spin-off. The story is about an investigative journalist becoming one with an alien, while working on a story. While the alien gives him superpowers, it also has an extremely dark side that tries to take over him. This movie comes out October 5th.


2. First Man

Coming out on October 12th is First Man. This movie is a biopic about Neil Armstrong, and how America came to be the first country to have a successful trip to the moon.


3. Serenity

Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway play divorcees. McConaughey plays a fishing boat captain that gets his life turned upside down when his ex-wife asks him to help her murder her violent husband. This comes out October 19th.


4. The Hate U Give

Another movie coming out October 19th, sheds light on racial injustice. Starr watches her childhood best friend get shot by a police officer and contemplates standing up for what she believes in, or accepting these injustices in her community.


5. Mowgli

The highly anticipated Jungle Book remake will be coming out October 19th. This time produced by Warner Bros.


6. Halloween

This is perfect for all the horror movie and Michael Myers fans. This is a sequel to the 1978 original movie, but it has a surprising twist. Coming to theaters also on October 19th.


7. The Grinch

If you don’t know the story of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, you didn’t have a childhood. This time around the score will include music from Tyler the Creator. Coming out November 9th


8. Widows

Coming out on November 16th, this movie tells the story of four women who band together to protect their families after their con-men husbands are all killed. This movie stars Viola Davis.


9. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

Calling all Harry Potter Fans! The second installment in the Fantastic Beasts series will also be coming out November 16th.


10. Creed II

This is the movie that Michael B Jordan fans have all been waiting for. The sequel to Creed will be coming to theaters November 21st. This time, Adonis Creed takes on the son of the man who killed his father in Rocky IV.


11. Bumblebee

In this Transformers Spin-Off, we see Bumblebee in the 80’s. While trying to run away from a government agency, that’s trying to capture him, he forms an unlikely alliance with an 18 year-old Californian girl. This is coming out December 21st.


12. Aquaman

Also coming out December 21st is a DC Universe Film. This is the first solo film to dive into Aquaman and the city of Atlantis. Aquaman tries to save the world he loves above the water, while also trying to save the world he loves in the water.
