October is here which means its finally spooky season! Aka 31 nights of Halloween. It's the most frightful time of the year, where you get to carve pumpkins, shop for the perfect Halloween costume and binge watch a bunch of scary movies that'll have you having nightmares for weeks. People really get into this holiday by having Halloween parties or entering into competitions to see who has the best decorated haunted house. There is a lot you can do in 31 days but these are the top activities you have to do before October ends:
1. DIY Spooky Decorations
There is a million different kinds of DIY halloween decorations you could have fun making with your family or friends but one idea is to make haunted mason jar lanterns. This is a perfect night light to put in your room if you're scared of the dark. For details on how to make this the link is down below.
2. Halloween snacks
Besides eating a lot of candy, there are other cool Halloween snacks that can be easily made right from your house with simply ingredients. The picture on the left is a marshmallow Frankenstein and the picture on the right is a pretzel and string cheese broomstick. This is a great way to get creative and have fun.
3. Haunted attractions
What better better way to celebrate spooky season than to go to a haunted attraction to be scared for a few hours. There are a few different attractions you can go to depending on where you live. A few popular attractions in Maryland are, Field of Screams, Screamland Farms, CornStalkers Trail of terror and many more. For a list of more attractions the link is down below.
4. Scary Movie at a Drive-In-Movie Theater
Lastly, watching a scary movie is cool but watching it outside in the dark is even scarier. Head to your closet drive in theater and watch new scary/halloween movies that are coming out this month. Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween and The House with a Clock in Its Walls are two new movies to go see.
