2019 BET Awards: Cardi B vs Drake! Who’s going to take the most trophies home??

The annual award show “The BET Awards” returns for the summer of 2019 live at the Microsoft Theatre in LA to celebrate the biggest artist in the various industry of entertainment.


On June 23rd, artists will come together and receive recognition for their achievements. The 2019 BET Awards have 20+ different categories, ranging from music to television to film to sports.


Starting with Cardi B, who is leading the way with a total of seven nominations, including “Best Female Rap Artist”, “Viewers Choice Award” and “Album of the Year”.


Following Cardi’s lead, Drake has a total of five nominations, including “Best Collaboration” and “Video of the Year”. Travis Scott, Beyonce and J. Cole are tied up in third place with a total of four nominations, while Bruno Mars, Ella Mai, H.E.R, 21 Savage and Childish Gambino all have three.


BET Networks will also be paying their respects to the late Nipsey Hussle by presenting him with the Humanitarian Award.


This is the nineteenth awards in the show's history with the first BET Awards premiering in 2001 with performances by huge entertainers such as Destiny’s Child and Jay Z. The 2019 Awards show will stream live at 8 pm on several different TV Networks, including VH1, MTV, MTV2, and Logo.
